New Garbstore "South Shelter" сollection
In the new season we are glad to present in Brandshop the Spring/Summer collection from Garbstore - one of the outstanding English brands.
Known for work with Paul Smith, Burberry and Levi’s, the British designer Ian Paley, the One True Saxon founder, in 2008 created the new brand named Garbstore, inspired by the samples of working and military equipment of Europe, the USA and Japan. Ian’s intuition and talent made it - the new label eclipsed the popularity of One True Saxon. Garbstore have released many collaborations with such famous brands as Reebok, Grenson and Battle Lake.
The new Garbstore Spring/Summer collection, which got the name «South Shelter», consists of basic menswear, bearing the accents on details of the brand’s classic models.
The soldier uniforms of the Second World War times were taken as the main inspiration. In the new collection the chief designer Ian Paley reinterprets the basic garments, adding the elements of military style to them, thus keeping their integrity and meaning. The functionality of military uniform is essential for this collection, so the designers created strong, multi-layered materials which only look like simple ones, but in fact they are totally high-tech.
Besides high-quality and authentic knitwear, there should be noted the interesting tailoring of the ‘popover’ shirt, which is put on over the head, classic chino trousers of the perfect free cut, and also the well-known ‘overshirt flight’ model, which has been issued since the foundation of the brand.
