Casio G-SHOCK teams up with designer Marcelo Burlon delivering the collaboration based on the popular model GA-100. Inspired with the snakeskin, the piece seems to be covered with it all over – from the case to the band. Let’s take a closer look at the release details.
About Marcelo Burlon
Marcelo Burlon is an Argentinian designer, musician, and photographer working in Milan for more than 20 years. His first collection was inspired with elements of iconography of various cultures of world civilization. This approach gave the collection immediate recognition due to high artistic merit and elegant mix of music and fashion. In fact, Marcelo delivered a soundtrack to the city bustle expressed in the clothes. Today Marcelo explores new fields – photography and nightlife. Be it a t-shirt or another mix, Marcelo looks for inspiration in the uncharted corners of the Earth, building up his own brand County of Milan as an architect rather than a designer.
The timepiece is not the first for Marcelo Burlon and G-SHOCK. This year collaboration picks the coral snake pattern in its monochrome, natural being. Due to the approach, both the case and the band look dynamic, durable and flexible. With this unusual print, Marcelo sought to accent his Argentinian background, point at the symbolism of the snake for all the Latinos, and to remind once again of County of Milan roots. The timepiece comes with a neat brand logo at the back of the case. The band coloring technology is worth a particular note: applied 3D-pattern gives a truly hyperrealistic sensation.
GA-100 case is executed of shock-resistant plastic with steel cover, mineral glass and water resistance up to 20 bar. Housing a reliable quartz movement, the timepiece features analog and digital time displaying, along with automatic watch face illumination, stop watch, timer with automatic repeat, alarm clock, and world time function.
