ANDERSON’S: PARMA BELTS WITH TRADITIONS
The history of the leading man belts brand located in the very heart of Italy, with the family business traditions and the oldest manufacture in Europe
Carlo Valenti, the founder of Anderson’s, started learning the art of belt making in 1960 at a famous leather factory in Parma that became the school of life for the young man. Here he found everything one should know about leather, and 6 years later, he started his own business. Together with a few colleagues and his future wife, he established the Anderson’s company in 1966. An Anglophile, Carlo loved hats and wore suits by English tailor “Anderson and Sheppard”, where the name for his brand came from.
At the dawn of his career, Carlo asked Pancaldi Bruno, his close friend and the founder of another renowned Italian brand, for help. Together they travelled around the world attending the most important exhibitions and industry events. Thus, the name of the Anderson’s brand became a synonym to the highest quality products that combine time-proved design and traditions of Parma leather artisans.
FAMILY BUSINESS TRADITIONS
Today, Carlo Valenti’s family still runs the company owning 100% of the production, which is natural for the real family business. Anderson’s manufactory is still based in Parma with the belts produced by local employees under experienced craftsmen. Every belt is made with knowledge handed down from generation to generation with care. Anderson’s is among the leading manufacturers of men accessories in Italy with one of the oldest manufactories in Europe.
